Kids who experience abuse or other traumatic events may develop symptoms of trauma. Research shows that children who are abused can heal from this trauma with the help of effective treatment.

A Child's Voice has historically ensured youth had access to counseling through relationships with local mental health providers, but the demand has continued to increase and more service options are needed. To meet that need, A Child's Voice is excited to offer on-site trauma focused therapy for our clients at no cost, starting June 2023.

DeAnna Fort, long time employee, will be our staff therapist. She will provide trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy for clients referred by Family Advocates. Your support of this program will ensure vital services to promote healing are available at no cost for our clients.
