In these times of global peril, both natural and man-made, the Central Executive Board of the Armenian Relief Society, immediately after learning about the devastating Blast in Lebanon on August 4, 2020, alerted and mobilized its world-wide entities to effectuate a campaign to raise the necessary funds to shield our stricken compatriots in Lebanon from the horrors of the unprecedented disaster’s agonizing aftermath.

The ARS Central Board had in mind, first and foremost, the raising of enough funds to help those in need of immediate medical aid, still unsure of the extent of damage, or precise nature of the catastrophe itself. Unsure of whether to condemn a monstrous attack, or deplore an accidental conflagration. In either case, the need of shielding the victims against the horror and agony of its aftermath was imperative.

It was not until the following days, that we learned of its unintentional and accidental nature -- when already your heart-felt donations, large and small, had started to reach our inboxes.

Your message of genuine concern and care was heard around the globe, and your impact -- in partnership with the Armenian Relief Society -- beyond enormous.

From the most modest, to the most generous, your donations were proof of your unquestionable trust in our 110-year-old Society, that continues to serve our nation with a capability generated by the selfless devotion of ARS entities spread over 27 countries of the globe, striving as volunteers, true to our motto: ‘With the People, For the People’.

The ARS, nestled in the very heart of our communities. will continue to serve our people. Always in the frontlines, engaged in overcoming any and all challenge that dares to threaten our people, whether across the Diaspora, or at the heart of the Homeland..

Thank you, once more, to all those who have donated, thank you to our entities and members, who even under Covid 19’s invisible yet deadly threat, remain our fiercest believers and supporters. And thank you to the HOMuhis of Lebanon, itself, who have put their personal pain aside and remain on the ramparts. Thank you to all the community members of stricken Lebanon, who stood by the side of the injured and homeless.

Thank you to all who took part in making our efforts a success. We have just started the rebuilding process and there remains more to be done, while ahead awaits the unknown. Yet, our mission to help rebuild Lebanon remains steadfast.

Please join our efforts, donate to the ARS and help our people.
