Join the ACRE community in shaping our new future by helping raise $20,000 in 14 days, from May 7-21, to relaunch ACRE’s programs in 2021.
ACRE is excited to (safely) reopen the residency this summer and welcome artists to make, think, and create in community again. We’re expanding the residency to 5 sessions this year and welcoming back our talented cohort of volunteer staff to drive innovative new programming for our residents. ACRE offers a vital space for artists to connect with peers and collaborators, to experiment and learn from one another, and to support each other, as we build the communities that we need to sustain our practices and create our futures together.
Help us shape a future for emerging artists that is more equitable, accessible, and with limitless possibility. Donate any amount today to help us fulfill our mission. Thank you for your support!
ACRE (Artists’ Cooperative Residency and Exhibitions) is an artist-run non-profit devoted to providing resources to emerging artists and nurturing a diverse community of cultural producers. ACRE’s programs support this generative community with materials, equipment, expertise, conscientiously produced food, and opportunities to exhibit and share work.
ACRE’s annual summer residency in rural Wisconsin brings together emerging artists to live and work in a communal setting. A corresponding year-long program of exhibitions and events based in Chicago creates ongoing opportunities for idea exchange, feedback and growth. ACRE aims to be a leader at advancing new means of support, prioritizing the unique, individually-defined paths of artists.
