Since 2013, we have encouraged men in our community to take a united stand in support of survivors of domestic and sexual violence by making a donation to the Bay Area Women’s Center. The support of men like you over the years has made an immeasurable difference in the lives of many survivors. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.

The reality is that we still have a lot of work ahead of us. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the challenges posed by it, instances of domestic and sexual violence did not decrease. In many counties across the state, we saw an increase in need for services for survivors of violence.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel for the pandemic as vaccines are made readily available to the public. For domestic violence and sexual assault issues, however, we need your help to illuminate the end of the tunnel. We are not there yet.

By banding together and raising our voices, we can continue to support survivors and make a difference in our community. The Bay Area Women’s Center is steadfast in their commitment to provide services amidst these uncertain times to ensure survivors have access to the resources they need. As Great Men, we can do our part to support those services and speak out to our friends and family. Educate yourself on the issues and learn more about what it means to be a Great Man by visiting www.bawc-mi.org. Invite others to join you in your commitment as a Great Man by making a donation in their honor or asking them to donate with you.

In the 45-year history of the Bay Area Women’s Center, we have always known that men are a key component to fulfilling our mission of ending domestic and sexual violence. Will you join us?
