SANCTUARY

Sanctuary is an album of 12 brilliant, powerful songs crafted in collaboration with international leaders of social change and justice organizations (and those most impacted). It is designed to educate, empower and inspire audiences to take action through a global outreach campaign.

A musical collaboration between writers, musicians, and producers, Sanctuary will spark a social movement for justice, equality, and peace for all humanity. Sanctuary’s collection of anthems will use the unifying power of music to connect people around the pressing issues of our time, empowering them with the tools to take responsibility and to transform their fear into collaborative, global-inspired action.

Sanctuary is a project founded by Rebecca Folsom, an award-winning artist from Boulder, CO. Rebecca is folk singer/songwriter, known for her uniquely deep and powerful voice. She has toured across the US and won multiple awards, including #1 Best Folk Song on National Folk DJ List and top 40 National Americana County Radio charts. Her song Across the Sky was nominated for Best National Folk Song by Just Plain Folks Awards (she lost to Susan Gibson who wrote Wide Open Spaces for the Dixie Chicks). She is also a certified facilitator in transformational leadership (The Hendricks Institute).

Sanctuary is an initiative of the Boulder County Arts Alliance, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The project’s total budget is $500,000. All donations are tax-deductible. Funds will be used for artist’s training, recording costs, PR, marketing, touring and staffing.
