The BSA has a proven track record of shaping young people into leaders of outstanding character – people who understand the meaning of accountability and the importance of servant leadership. On #GivingTuesday, November 26, 2019, we’re asking our communities to help us continue that record by supporting Scouting.

The Longhouse Council supports weekly activities for more than 4,000 youth and 1,700 adult volunteers. We provide Scout programs that promote positive development through mentoring and engaging youth in opportunities for individual growth and community connectedness. The Longhouse Council serves youth in six counties: Onondaga, Oswego, Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Cayuga, and Lewis. We offer young people responsible fun and adventure, instill lifetime values, train young people in citizenship, service, and leadership. We operate and maintain two camps for our Scouts and families to use year-round: Camp Woodland and Sabattis Scout Reservation.

To increase new Scouting programs for our youth, as a Council we work through schools, churches, and civic clubs. Financial support is vital for the continuation of our Scout programs. Your participation helps to ensure the success of our Scout programs. On behalf of the Longhouse Council, thank you for your support!
