Through generous support, we were able to keep our doors open during the pandemic, and we were the only out-of-school program able to do that. In fact, the need throughout the COVID-19 pandemic was so great that we extended our hours to full days and organized our members into learning cohorts to ensure they got the attention necessary to complete schoolwork. The meals we were able to provide addressed the food inequities experienced by many of our families. The technology we have available in our Clubs made it possible for our members to complete class assignments with the assistance and support of staff who encouraged our members during times of uncertainty by employing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) practices.

Learning Enhancement Acceleration Program (LEAP) is our research-based programming designed around academic success, and SEL, along with our facilities, our well-trained staff, and additional tutoring and mentoring. All are crucial to our local member families. The expenses related to this effort are covered by generous support from donors like you. We are now contracted with Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) and Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD) to assist in their Extended Learning Opportunity Programs (E-LOP). These contracts make it possible for us to positively affect kids outside of our membership who need us most; currently more than 200 additional kids. This is a wonderful opportunity and a significant obligation. We need your help!
