Art Heals. Our capacity for healing, empathy, resilience and self-reflection are all enhanced by art. Even in the most difficult times, art helps us connect with each other and envision new realities.

For nearly 60 years, the Brookline Arts Center has been a beacon of hope and creativity through our classes, exhibitions and outreach. We are proud to be a place where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to share their passions and tell their stories.

One particular story about how art heals came to us from BAC student Lea. Her mother, a doctor, was diagnosed with Covid-19 earlier this year and had to quarantine for several weeks. Lea used art to express her emotions while being isolated from her mother. The family shared Lea’s work with us for our Virtual Student Exhibition, a piece titled “Girl Fighting Coronavirus with Love.” Lea’s mother said her daughter “is the kind of kid that brings the positive out of hard situations,” and that art helped in the healing process.

The BAC faces unprecedented challenges in the year ahead. We need your support to get to the other side of this pandemic.

Please help keep the arts alive in our community by donating today.

This year, we’re thrilled to announce that through the generosity of individual BAC Board Members, any new contribution or increased contributions from your 2019 donation level will be matched. This is the perfect way to double your impact and make an even greater difference for our community!

We are a visual arts center committed to bringing the community meaningful experiences in the arts through classes, exhibitions and outreach.

Contributions to the Brookline Arts Center are 100% tax deductible.
