Dear 5-Star friends,

At the conclusion of this most unusual year for all of us, we write to thank you for your continued support of the Arts, and for 5-Star Theatricals. We are truly grateful for your support in providing professional theater at the Civic Arts Plaza, and in our community. And we have a little something to show you how thankful we are at: www.5starthankful.com. Despite the challenges from COVID, we have not given up! We are still part of this community trying to make a difference, and we cannot do it without you!  Let me share a recent experience.

In late November I was working with the naval base on options for 5-Star to perform a holiday show in a short amount of time. How could we perform a "COVID-safe" concert? For 13 years we have been gathering up performers from past seasons and traveled out to the base to entertain the families who are separated from their loved ones during the holidays. We decided on a drive through holiday concert and our part would be to provide the Carolers, Santa Claus and a Santa’s Village set. We went to work and found the perfect Santa Village set but they were not able to donate at this time, like so many businesses they are struggling. We didn’t give up! We approached Toyota of Thousand Oaks to ask if they would partner with us on the military show and provide the set. Without hesitation, they were in. We got a few of our stars from past shows to donate their time and talent, Santa came too and we made it happen....a beautiful outdoor holiday concert to honor our military and their families. IT TAKES A COMMUNITY.

THIS IS WHO WE ARE... We bring joy to this community and have been doing so for 30 years. We take our responsibility to be an active part of this community seriously. Despite the circumstances of the lockdown, we held free on-line musical theatre classes, educational classes over the summer, produced and performed in two car concerts, performed in two car concerts for TOArts, took part in "Raise Your Voice", a contest for new musical theatre playwrights, performed at the military base, filmed and presented a free virtual "Thankful" concert.

It does take a community and we are asking for your help. If you are able please make a year end, tax-deductible donation to 5-Star Theatricals so we can continue with our outreach and come back stronger than ever. We miss you and will see you at the theatre in 2021!

We've also had an "Angel" confirm that they'd be willing to match ALL year-end donations received in 2020. If you're able, please help us take advantage of this generous offer!

You can donate here or mail a check to 5-Star Theatricals, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Suite B, Thousand Oaks, Ca. 91362. Good news! Up to $300 in charitable donations are deductible this year even if you don’t itemize!

Our sincere gratitude,

May you all have a joyful holiday season!
