WHAT

Gyms are closed or limited in their capacity. Mental health is an urgent priority for all of us. Individuals are yearning for a sense of community and connection. What to do?  

Enter: The Great Affirmation Race Energetic Way to 5K - an invitation to move with strength in body & mind with 12 affirmations that support a holistic approach to health.

Running (or walking!) is one of the many ways to access energy in our bodies to reduce stress, improve health, and alleviate depression and anxiety. Integrative Health Coach Helen McCaffrey Birney helps anyone access a whole body approach to movement with a combo of slow-progression walk/jog intervals, body awareness, and mindset. 

As a participant, you’ll receive the 12 affirmations journal Helen uses in her 12-week program and a commemorative T-shirt. There’s a unique plan for you…trust your process.

WHY

Empowering oneself through mindset and body movement is a critical part of The Center for Anti-Violence Education’s (CAE’s) work to prevent hate violence in our communities. CAE centers the experiences of the people most marginalized - women, girls, people who are Trans, Gender-Non Conforming, and LGBQ, and those at increased risk from racism and xenophobia - in programs that combine awareness raising, physical empowerment, leadership development, and activism


WHEN

The Great Affirmation Race will take place virtually on Saturday, April 10th, with opportunities for local meet-ups. You can walk, run, or walk/run this race!

HOW

Register by donating $50 here!

Then, if you feel inspired, invite your friends to support you & CAE by clicking “I Want to Fundraise For This” on the registration page.  

And that’s it! Once registered, you’ll receive Helen’s Energetic Way to 5K Affirmations Journal with training guidance, a link to order your t-shirt, and race details!
