Our Mission

Children of Shelters seeks to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness currently experienced by over 5,000 San Francisco youth. Through our educational, experiential and nutritional initiatives, and our best-in-class network of partners, we deliver comprehensive resources and services that bridge critical would-be gaps in the development of these children, offering them joy, happiness and a future unbound by the complications of homelessness.

Our Board of Directors covers 100% of our operational costs, so each dollar you give will go DIRECTLY to the children and families we serve!

Corporate Matching

Many companies have programs through which they will “match” the charitable contributions made by their employees. Through corporate gift matching, your employer can multiply your gift to Children of Shelters.

Check with your company’s Human Resources office to see if they offer gift matching. Request a matching gift form to send to Children of Shelters along with your donation. Complete the form and mail it with your donation to the address noted in the section below. Our office will verify receipt of your gift and return the form to your company for matching funds.
