Beloved paragliding instructor Marge Variano travelled many times to Colombia and fell in love with the local community. The flying community is raising funds in her honor to support the schools near the Roldanillo flying site.

Last year, funds were raised and a project was started to help rebuild bathrooms at the" Escuela Buenavista" in roldanillo, which is located 500 meters from Los Tanques Launch. This school is located far from town with hard access, and the students that attend the school have parents with very low income. This school has only one classroom, and kids from 6 to 12 years old attend the same lessons. This project will continue to raise money to help rebuild the school as well as provide much needed materials for the students and teachers. Pilots from all over the world visit Roldanillo every year and it would be great to help the local children and community in a place we all love so much.

This project will help serve the children, teachers, and parents in the Roldanillo community. Rebuilding the local schools and aiding in projects will allow children to attend school more often in a healthier and safer environment as well as provide opportunities for a better education. Providing materials to teachers and classrooms will also help this effort.
