The mission of CATION+ is to promote career and professional development for Asian Americans in both academic and non-academic settings throughout nephrology and the healthcare system. CATION+ is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and will accomplish its mission by:

Facilitating and organizing mentorship opportunities, trainings, networking opportunities, and workshops for individuals from diverse backgrounds, focusing on Asian Americans in nephrology and including physicians, fellows, medical residents, medical students, pre-medical students, and researchers.

Advocating for the interests of individuals from diverse backgrounds within academic medical centers, hospitals, and healthcare settings at large thereby cultivating an inclusive and supportive environment for Asian Americans throughout nephrology and healthcare.

Collaborating with diverse individuals and organizations, fostering cooperation and knowledge sharing to provide a voice for Asian Americans in nephrology.
