Welcome to Commodore Sloat's R.E.E.F. Campaign!

The Resources for Education, Enrichment and Fun (R.E.E.F.) Campaign (formerly known as the Cash Appeal) is Sloat’s largest annual fundraiser. Our goal for the 2025-26 school year is $95,000 and 100% family participation.

The money raised by the REEF Campaign supports programs, events, and key staff roles that are not funded by SFUSD, but that Sloat families have prioritized, including:

Gardening program (also chickens!) with a dedicated gardening teacher

A second PE instructor, doubling the district-allotted PE time per week

Classroom aides and office staff

Nagata Dance Classes and performances

Field trips to museums, the SF Zoo, Botanical Garden, and live performances

Sloat's Annual Pumpkin Patch

Assemblies celebrating ethnic and cultural traditions and holidays

Teacher supplies

Learning applications, such as Mystery Science, Brain Pop and Reading Eggs

Any and every donation is accepted and appreciated! We are truly in this together and understand each family must do what is feasible for them. Our $95,000 goal is part of a much larger fundraising goal to financially support what is mentioned above and so much more! To fully offset the PCO’s budget, a donation of $750 per student is needed this school year.

When you donate and join the REEF, 100% of your donation will be used to enhance learning and provide fun and enriching experiences for all Commodore Sloat students. And when you join the REEF, your donation will be reflected on our undersea themed REEF Campaign bulletin board in the Sloat lobby. Come check it out and watch the ocean reef grow!
