Shelli loved being involved with the PTO at the boy’s school and volunteered any chance she could. She went on every field trip they would let her go to. In the higher elementary grades they go on a big field trip every year. Tyler was in 5th grade when she had her surgery to remove her bile ducts and part of her liver. She was so worried she would miss out on going on his trip with him. She had her surgery and was determined to recover enough to make it and she did!

That is what brought the idea of the Shelli Roden Memorial Foundation to my mind. There are kids that deserve to go on these trips but their family can not afford to pay the fees that are involved. I set this up so that teachers and/or counselors at the school can evaluate these situations and can request the money that will pay their way. There will be a criteria that they have to meet in order to receive it. I hope to get the ball rolling enough that I can get that in place for next school year.

No amount is too big or small. Again, thank you all for everything. We could not have made it without y’all!
