Our mission is to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for seniors to enrich the lives of people in our community.

Community Volunteer Network (CVN) is composed of two national service programs: the Foster Grandparent Program and RSVP.

The Foster Grandparent Program utilizes lower income senior volunteers to nurture, mentor, and tutor children within organizations serving youth, e.g., public schools, Head Start Centers, and after-school programs. This program strengthens children’s educational and emotional growth as they form inter-generational bonds with caring, older adults dedicated to serving the community.

Through the RSVP Program, CVN has developed signature programs including Call-a-Ride medical transportation, Respite care, SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance) providing assistance regarding Medicare matters, and the Age Wise Age Well peer counseling program. Additionally, RSVP partners with other non-profit agencies to connect older adults to a multitude of volunteer opportunities in Southern Oregon.
