A Mother's Love was established in 2015 as a call to action bringing together Black Mothers to address the issues of violence, poverty, lack of education, unemployment, and other social ills currently plaguing African American families. As a grassroots organization lead by African American Mothers and Fathers, we are galvanized toward uplifting the family unit through mentoring, education, and economic training and strengthening families, while also advancing the goal of community safety.

It is our goal to use our own life transformations to help meet people where they are in life and work to build strong families with strong futures. A Mother's Love works in partnership with other boots-on-the-ground organizations, nonprofits, and for-profit organizations …. WE DO BETTER TOGETHER!

In the wake of the tragic death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police, A Mother's Love along with a collective of other non-profit organizations throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul quickly organized to meet the needs of their most vulnerable community members. A Mother's Love is daily providing the social services described below but cannot sustain the overwhelming needs of their communities without your support.

Funds donated to A Mother's Love will be utilized to purchase:

• Personal protective equipment including gloves, masks and other supplies to protect AML staff and clients from the COVID-19 Virus

• Supplies to service the North Minneapolis residents with food, personal items and paper products after the devastation of the residential/business community

• Boots-on-the-ground foot patrols and mobile patrols to advance community safety in Minneapolis and St. Paul

• Walkie-Talkies and related communication tools to help team members stay connected and safe

We anticipate the costs to effectively and safely execute the above plan to exceed $100,000 in 2021. If you are in a position to help, we would be grateful for any amount you can give. Your support is essential and deeply appreciated.
