If you haven’t already heard, Study Hall: Comedy Inspired By Lectures is coming to the IndyFringe Festival and we'd like your help making it awesome! After performing in Philly for nearly 15 years and a recent run of shows at Chicago's famed Second City, Study Hall comes to the Crossroads of America to debut in the IndyFringe festival with it's own local cast. This will be the first live productions for Crossroads Indy and there are, of course, costs involved in making it happen.

Crossroads is a nonprofit organization. Every dollar we make goes to pay for the next thing we do. We have no fulltime staff and barely any part time staff. We had hoped that we'd be able to tap into some project grant funding through the NEA or humanities organizations, but unfortunately the current administration has made this extremely difficult, for many arts organizations. We also hoped to be able to qualify for other grant's, but we've been denied for a variety reasons. It seems, at least right now, that our best hope for funding becomes loans, corporate grants, and your donations.

We have great hope that Study Hall will perform well, that we will sell out every show and we will have to stuff people into the nooks and crannies of the IndyFringe Basille theatre. Unfortunately, the road to a sold out show is paved with good intentions. For that reason, we'd love not to rely on ticket sales alone in covering the costs that we put into the show. Your donation helps pay for or reimburse for registration fees, performer payments, lecturer honorariums, director compensation, rehearsal space, marketing efforts, production supplies, and other miscellaneous costs associated with live shows.

ABOUT STUDY HALL
This long running comedy show mixes lectures with improv comedy to create an entertaining and education hour unlike any you'll experience elsewhere. Study Hall is a unique opportunity for experts to share stories from the field, scientists to talk about research, historians to provide lessons from the before times, and so much more and then see that lecture turned into hilarious, smart, satirical, and downright goofy scenes on the spot.
