The Spartan Foundation was formed to support the needs of the Litchfield and Ansley school communities. Since 2012, the communities of Litchfield and Ansley have joined forces on the athletic front to compete as one team. Through that affiliation, many opportunities were granted to students and families from both communities. As the years have gone by, the athletic affiliation has grown into much more. Not only have students been able to compete as one team, but lasting friendships have been made, and students have seen two communities come together to support students from both schools.

Because of the tremendous support for these coop athletes and their activities, the Spartan Foundation has been able to raise money and offer grants to a number of school and youth activities. We recently concluded our first Fall Grant Program. The Foundation was able to award $10,000 to applicants from the schools including: high school sports teams, classroom projects, community project benefitting students, and weekend backpack programs from both schools.

We are asking individuals, businesses, organizations, etc. to take the time to consider becoming a part of the Spartan Foundation. We plan to allocate funds for scholarships, funds for contributions that are earmarked for future projects, and a general fund to offer grants for use by both schools. You can participate by contributing to any of the fund accounts, by volunteering your time at a Spartan Foundation event, or both.

The Spartan Foundation strives to:

~bridge the gap between school and community members

~be a place where community members and alumni can be involved with the school

~combine the efforts of smaller organizations to work toward a common goal

~increase the opportunity for student scholarships and staff/community grants

~increase volunteer participation in school and community events
