This Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, you can help East Tennessee Freedom Schools continue empowering young scholars through the joy of reading, learning, and community. Each summer, our program provides up to 130 K–8 scholars with a six-week literacy and enrichment experience designed to help them grow academically and personally. Scholars receive daily reading instruction, nutritious meals, and the encouragement of caring college mentors who serve as role models and teachers.

Your Giving Tuesday gift helps sustain the heart of our program — from providing classroom supplies and culturally relevant books to supporting the Servant Leader Interns who guide and inspire our scholars each day. Because of supporters like you, 84% of our scholars maintained or improved their reading levels this past summer.

Every gift matters:

$50 supports 4 field trips for one scholar

$100 provides daily healthy snacks for a group of scholars

$285 provides a scholar with their Summer Curriculum + Books

$500 provides classroom supplies to support daily instruction and enrichment activities
