This fund is used to provide food assistance to refugee families who lost SNAP benefits due to the government shutdown. Thousands of ECDC refugees in Virginia and Maryland will struggle to feed their family and your contribution will help ECDC fight back by going into the community to provide direct assistance to vulnerable people in need.

The funds are also used to help unaccompanied minors, single mothers, and families from Afghanistan, Ukrainian, and Central America to get through the night. The fund is administered by ECDC's Virginia office to pay for groceries, overnight lodging, medicine, and baby supplies. All donations are tax deductible and 100% goes directly to help those in need.
