As Excel CDC’s education arm, Hope Excel Reaching the World Academy serves the westside of Chicago with a rigorous private education experience for children ages 3-7 years old regardless of race, religion or financial background. Hope Excel offers kids a positive education experience through our year round early childhood development curriculum, after school programming and summer camp.

On July 2, 2023 the city of Chicago experienced extreme weather conditions with high winds and intense rainfall. Due to the heavy rainfall, the roof of the school building collapsed. The roof collapse tore through the second floor all the way to the first floor of the building causing the primary school classrooms to be completely destroyed. The tiny desks that once housed the eager and shining faces of preschoolers, kindergarteners, first and second graders are now all gone. The school is temporarily housed in a new location while renovations of the building are underway.

While insurance will cover some of the building renovations, there is a significant gap of funds needed to complete the project. The new facility will allow Hope Excel to expand its reach and serve even more children and families.
