Help Put a Dent in Pet Overpopulation

With more than 96,000 pets living in poverty in the City of Cleveland, it’s no wonder that our local shelters are overcrowded. Neighborhood Pets takes a step back and works to keep pets happy, healthy, and in their homes by providing access to affordable resources.

Kitten and puppy season will soon be upon us, and many families would like to spay/neuter their pets, but they just can’t afford the cost of a traditional vet or, in many cases, of even a low-cost provider. On top of the cost itself, transportation is also a barrier.

Joseph’s new puppy is his pride and joy! He’s very proud of her, and wants to do everything right by her. His first question on his first visit to our Resource Center was: “When can I sign her up to be fixed? I heard that’s good for her.”

Three times per month, we offer FREE spay/neuter surgeries, with transportation to the clinic, to eligible Cleveland families. In 2019, 381 cats and 259 dogs were fixed through the generosity of people like you. We’d like to exceed those numbers in 2020. Will you help?

Embrace Pet Insurance has graciously offered to match donations dollar-for-dollar (up to $2,500) to our Neighborhood Pets Spay/Neuter Fund. They have been recognized five times by The Plain Dealer as one of “Northeast Ohio’s Top Workplaces” and are an eight-time winner of the NorthCoast 99 Award, a program that recognizes 99 workplaces for top talent in Northeast Ohio. Embrace is more than just pet insurance. Embrace is a family, and when you Embrace your pet, you sign up for more than just insurance – you become part of the family.
