The coming years will be challenging ones for the Arts. As we get to the back of the long line behind various rights groups and causes that will certainly need your financial support and various politicians that kind of need your financial support, we urge you to keep in mind that the Arts make life worth living, so please don’t forget us in your year end giving.

As we close out 2024, we are proud of what FRIGID New York has been able to accomplish. We have fully transitioned to operating out of UNDER St Marks, and our show calendar is finally looking like it did pre-pandemic! Our newly rebranded New York City Fringe Festival was the biggest it has ever been, using non-FRIGID venues for the first time in its 17-year history. This allowed us to expand to 150% of its previous size and triple the sales of our best year ever. We couldn’t have supported the independent (“indie”) artists of NYC–and beyond!–without your support and patronage, and we thank you!

In 2025, FRIGID is working to strengthen our resources and broaden our services for indie theater artists and we can’t do this without your support! Each year, FRIGID presents award-winning festivals, dozens of monthly programs, and artist residencies for hundreds of artists and the next generation of theater leaders. Throughout our history, we have provided support to thousands of artists and shared the wonderful experience of indie theater with hundreds of thousands of people. Among the many, and sometimes painful, lessons we’ve learned over the past few years, one of the most clear is the value of the arts, storytelling, and creativity to bring us together, to heal us, and to help us grow. With your support, we at FRIGID can keep bringing works that change, challenge, and inspire to countless more audiences.

We want to maintain the level of support we have provided NYC Artists for 27 years. We are asking you to help us support the Space, the staff and the hundreds Artists that work here year after year. We need your help! For our End of the Year campaign, we are working to raise $27,000 that is $1,000 for every season we have opened in NYC so far. It has been a great quarter century, and we are working on setting the stage for another.
