Help us create empowering, equitable music education for students by contributing to Girls Write Nashville's two Community Powered Scholarship Fund on #GivingTuesday!

Since the start of the pandemic, we've tripled the number of students we serve from 60 to 189. We're working harder than ever to provide creative community for our students because we know how important community is in a time like this.

You may not know, but our program provides important Positive Childhood Experiences that are scientifically proven to reduce the longterm negative effects of trauma, so we are proud to continue to serve during the Covid-19 pandemic as our society undergoes a collective trauma.

Help us serve more students this year by helping to fund ten Community Powered Scholarships worth $500 each ($5,000 total fundraising goal). This will put ten deserving girls through our Season 5 Online Writers Guild program which will run January-June 2021.

Sing through the Quarantine with us by making a donation, sharing the fundraiser, and joining us on #GivingTuesday Dec. 1 at 7pm as we premiere the first track from Sing Through the Quarantine, a remotely recorded album written and produced by our teen participants during the Covid-19 pandemic.

offered free online songwriting classes to all of MNPS during the month of May.
Partnered with The Contributor to publish bilingual youth-written pieces.

About Girls Write Nashville

Girls Write Nashville is a songwriting mentorship program and production community for middle and high school girls in Nashville, TN. (We're also a 501(c)(3) public charity which means your donation is fully tax deductible!) Our organization is committed to creating a culture of inclusivity and so all of our programs are entirely scholarship based! The cost/value for one girl to complete our six-month online program is about $500. In this program, students are guided through the process of writing and recording original work by a professional teaching artist in a supportive community of peers. Our program also provides important Positive Childhood Experiences that are scientifically proven to reduce the longterm negative effects of trauma, so we are proud to continue to serve during the Covid-19 pandemic as our society undergoes a collective trauma.
