Good+Foundation is working with our partners across the country to evaluate the needs of the low-income families we serve in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak. These families already struggle with poverty, transportation challenges, unstable housing, food insecurity, homelessness and many other issues and are disproportionately affected by events like COVID-19. Since many Good+ parents work low-paying service jobs that require them to be on-site, these families are already losing hours of income, which can trigger a downward spiral for the entire family.

You can help during this difficult time with a contribution to the Good+ Crisis Fund. Your contribution will allow us to respond to the needs of our partners across the country and the families they serve, including those affected by COVID-19. This may include meeting the ever-present need for essentials like diapers, wipes, and baby formula or supplying items like strollers to help families avoid public transportation. The Crisis Fund also allows us to support other families in crisis and to have funds on hand when disasters happen in the future.

The Good+ Crisis Fund will also fund our Good+ Microgrants Program. Partner program leaders and social workers from current partners have been invited to apply for microgrants to purchase what families need in real time. Microgrants could be used to purchase an inhaler for a child with asthma, a grocery store gift card to buy groceries after a job loss, or an emergency purchase of formula or diapers for a newborn.

Help Good+ support parents by providing the essentials they need to keep their children and families safe during this public health emergency and economic disruption. We thank you for standing with us when Good+ families need us most.
