We are in unprecedented times with everyday life turned upside down. While Birmingham’s entire nonprofit community has been impacted by the pandemic, Grace House Ministries does not have the option to reduce services or shift to a virtual model. The 38 girls who call Grace House home rely on this ministry to meet their basic human needs every day: just like other children rely on their biological families. Thankfully, our girls are thriving!
The 38 girls who call Grace House home are depending on us to be their family – to let them know they are safe, they belong, and they are loved. Grace House’s annual “Corporate Compassion” Luncheon is held each spring and is the ministry’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Clearly, current times are not business as usual and we must re-imagine how to meet our operating needs. Adding to the urgency of our fundraising is the fact that 10 new girls joined the Grace House family in January of this year after we completed the planned renovation and reopening of our 3rd group home.
We have committed to raising a minimum of $175,000 under the new banner of one united campaign: “Community Compassion”. Community Compassion is inspired by Grace House's best quality: family. It’s about our entire family of donors -businesses, individuals, and churches - all pressing closer together to let our girls know they are safe, they belong, and they are loved.
The work of Grace House can’t stop. With your support, we will continue transforming lives – one girl at time. Thank you in advance for your prayerful commitment to this ministry!
"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'” Matthew 25:40
