Help Us Celebrate The Power of Generosity, Friendship and Art!

by Groundswell Community Mural Project

To Our Beloved Groundswell Community,

Art creates Community. Community Creates Change. The communities we build travel with us wherever we go.

The story of Groundswell appearing on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? is one rooted in friendship and shared values. I met Joel McHale when we were both graduate acting students at the University of Washington (Seattle) 23 years ago. We connected over our love for our families, the arts, and humanity as a whole. Those same values live so vividly in our practice at Groundswell. I am elated that Joel is helping us share our work with so many people!

In this moment, where we are faced with uncertainty and many challenges, we embrace this opportunity to celebrate the things that will endure: Humanity, Justice, Friendship, and Generosity. It is in this spirit that we ask you to help us match Joel's winnings so that we can make an even bigger impact on behalf of our young artivists and the communities that we serve! Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated and utilized to support our commitment to young people.  Even in troubling times, our youth remind us of beauty and of the beautiful struggle for freedom, justice, and community.

In Solidarity,

Robyne Walker Murphy
