The Scottish Cultural Outreach Foundation provides free teacher-friendly materials and in-person cultural arts programming so students can experience Scottish heritage through music, dance, and storytelling. Your donation helps us keep these resources free, expand school access, and sustain the work behind the scenes that makes everything possible.

How your gift helps:

- Operational essentials: compliance & reporting, insurance, accounting, technology/tools, communications, and basic admin support.

- School access + program delivery: creation of free classroom materials, outreach to teachers/schools, program supplies, travel/production needs for in-person programs, and evaluation so we improve responsibly.

What it takes to keep SCOF operating

Running a responsible nonprofit includes more than program delivery—it includes the essential systems that keep everything secure, compliant, and sustainable:

Donor management, website/hosting, and secure storage
Insurance, compliance, and required reporting
Accounting and tax preparation
Postage, printing, and office essentials
Phone/text communications and outreach
Storage space and equipment upkeep

Our Annual operating costs: approximately $14.5k–$15.3k per year (cash expenses), plus significant volunteer time (300+ hours/year) that keeps our overhead low
