While the COVID-19 pandemic poses an immediate threat to our health, it has the potential to decimate our small business community and impact our economy for many years to come. “Main Street” businesses in our local communities will be crippled and the capital-starved small businesses in our most resource-poor communities are facing the threat of extinction. While governments at every level are moving swiftly to provide relief, it will not be enough to help many struggling business owners survive.

We launched the Small Businesses Need Us initiative to mobilize business professionals in support of businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Using our collective expertise, experience, and skills we can help more of our small businesses survive and maybe we can even help some to thrive. While medical professionals are on the front lines saving lives, business professionals must join together to save our small businesses paving the way for economic recovery.

Since 2002, the Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership has helped thousands of entrepreneurs figure out creative ways to stay afloat and thrive despite not having access to general working capital or growth capital. Our work is more needed today than ever before.

We need your help to expand our capacity to help more businesses. If we don’t act today, tomorrow will not be an option for the vast majority of the small businesses that make our communities great. Please give generously to help fund the Small Businesses Need Us initiative.

Together we can make a difference.
