The Institute for the Advancement of Women’s Health (IAWH) is a non-profit organization, based in Northern Virginia. Our mission is to conduct and apply community-based, public health research that leads to women becoming more knowledgeable and better informed participants in their health care and well-being.

Young adult, single, married, with children, no children, non-binary, however you identify, WE BELIEVE THAT ALL WOMEN should have the opportunity to receive and understand evidence-based information to inform their decisions about healthcare. Health literacy can determine your health outcomes. When women are well-informed, they can make meaningful decisions about their health and support family and close friends with their care.
