During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Rian Immigrant Center is fully committed to continuing our support for the immigrant community. Immigrant and refugee families are especially vulnerable at this time as many work in frontline jobs in healthcare, and food services, while others have lost their jobs, and income. Many are not eligible to receive unemployment benefits.
Immigrants are part of the backbone of support to our country during this time, and yet they have been left out of the stimulus bill and are not receiving the support they need during this unprecedented time.
At Rian, we are providing immigrant families with legal, education, and mental health counseling support. We are providing immigration legal support by phone, mental health counseling sessions through TeleMedicine, and online English classes. Our services are supporting immigrant families to find stability during this time of uncertainty.
We ask, if you are able, to please donate to Rian at this time and support our services - this is more important than ever. We anticipate that this emergency will become increasingly more stressful over the coming weeks and months ahead for our constituents and as often is the case, we are their only support.
Your generosity can help alleviate the hardship faced by many. We are deeply grateful for your support as we continue to provide pathways to new safety, stability and new beginnings.
These are challenging times. Stay well and let's winter through this together.
