Greetings Gentlemen,

In the best of times, we at Jamaica College (JC) wish you and your loved ones the utmost health and happiness. At extraordinary moments such as this, the sentiment takes on new significance.

Wherever in the world this message finds you, we know that your life has changed. Life at JC has changed, too, but it has not stopped. Thanks to your remarkable altruism, we were able to navigate through a full year of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have kept our school buoyant and our students, faculty and staff safe. . However, this crisis continues to befuddle and disrupt everything, while we await that elusive sense of normalcy.

The economic upheaval caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has decimated our finances. With ZERO rental income from our auditorium, sporting and classroom facilities; ZERO lunch sales from our cafeteria and just a modicum in remittances received from our parents for their outstanding fees - we are in dire straits. In the interim, we are doing the best we can to fund our regular budget, in addition to absorbing a superfluity of unplanned expenses, with no offsetting revenue stream. So once again, through the continuum of the JCOBA Big Brothers COVID-19 Rescue Plan II, we are turning to you, our True-Blue Old Boys to help us mitigate this crisis.

We are requesting that each JCOBA Chapter generate a minimum of JMD $300,000 (USD $2,000) per month for the next five (5) months, to offset the financial deficit. No amount is too small. No amount is too great.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support and for standing by our beloved Jamaica College during this tumultuous time. We are resilient and will always find a way or make one. Together, we will get through this crisis and we look forward to better days ahead. Please take care of yourselves and continue to look after each other.
