Since 2003, Joel’s Place for Children has been serving grieving children and families in the Greater Cleveland area.
The mission of Joel’s Place for Children is to provide grief support for children and their families who have experienced the death of someone special in their lives. Joel’s Place operates on the belief that it is helpful and healing for grieving children and their families to share their stories, memories, experiences, thoughts, and feelings with other people who are grieving. Peer-based grief support groups are offered at no charge to our families.
Our volunteers continue to support our families, even though we do not currently meet for in-person groups. In addition to emails with activities and phone calls we have sent supplies for a Joel’s Place evening “OnDemand”, including custom expressive arts activities and pizza gift cards. We've added numerous resources on our Resources Web Page to aid more grieving families. In-person groups will resume as soon as we feel it is safe for our children, families and volunteers. Grief support is needed, and it cannot be cancelled.
We need your help to show children and families who are grieving the death of someone special during these uncertain times that while they may be physically distancing, we are still here for them. You are still here for them.
We cannot hold our annual Fall Celebration—our largest fundraiser that supports Joel’s Place through the year—but we can have just as big of an impact virtually. Won’t you join us in showing our children and families that they are Not Alone.
JOEL'S PLACE NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT NOW MORE THAN EVER! Together, with your support through our No One Alone Campaign Fundraiser, we know we will be successful!
On behalf of Joel’s Place, and those the individuals, children, and families we serve we want to say THANK YOU for your generosity and support!
Joel’s Place for Children is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donation is tax-deductible. To learn more about Joel’s Place please visit www.joelsplaceforchildren.org.
