OUR MISSION & PROJECTS

A 501c3 Non-Profit Organization with the mission to promote human-powered watercraft education and safety. Be a steward of the land and the lake, additionally, to work with a network of organizations with the mission to conserve and protect our playground which is Lake Tahoe and its public access.

OUR EFFORTS AS TAHOE AMBASSADORS

We stand-up for the water we paddle on!

Lake Tahoe Waterman Association was born in 2010 with a passion from both Anik and Jay Wild for Paddling and Lake Tahoe. Founded by Elite Athletes, the initial premises were to get kids on the water enjoying human-powered paddle sports. Since our 501c3 Non-Profit Organization evolved with the mission to be a steward of the land and the lake, promote human-powered watercraft education and safety. Additionally, to work with a network of organizations with the mission to conserve and protect our playground that is Lake Tahoe and its public access. Our organization is home to Team Tahoe Waterman and Junior Waterman educational programs.

TAHOE JUNIOR WATERMAN

Tahoe Watermans Youth Waterman and paddling programs create with a unique and dynamic waterman environment and give active children access to paddle sports education, the opportunity to master the mental, physical and technical skills needed in paddle sports, plus swimming, and water safety skills. Our unique programs support the mindset of beach life, caring for the environment, having fun with like-minded people, getting fitter and stronger and gaining life experiences while improving life skills. No doubt spending time with the Tahoe Waterman crew will bring inspiration to the whole family. Our programs are crafted and designed by professionals in their field of play.

TEAM TAHOE WATERMAN

Our coaching programs, the competition team, and the training groups offer a unique, dynamic waterman environment in which participants master the mental, physical and technical skills of paddle sports in preparation for competitions and/or overall fitness, water safety, and aquatic lifestyle. Our programs are designed with the whole athlete in mind, the comprehensive humanistic approach looking a the big picture, and the potential incremental gains of our athletes.

ENVIRONMENTAL TAHOE CONSERVANCY

Part of Lake Tahoe Waterman Association’s mission is to be a steward of the land and the lake, this mission has been satisfied with LTWA being assign as the keepers of Patton Landing Beach, ensuring public access to Lake Tahoe (for humans and their four-legged friends!) LTWA is collaborating with the maintenance and upkeep of the property. We schedule ongoing beach clean-ups, routine maintenance of the natural landscape, and maintenance of the facility and grounds that are part of the California Tahoe Conservancy land at Patton Beach in Carnelian Bay, California.
