Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being and health of the animals we rescue, ensuring they’re not only surviving the threat of homelessness and euthanasia, but giving the opportunity to thrive and receive the love and individualized care they so deserve.

Approximately 4,000 beagles are being rescued from a Virginia mass breeding facility where they were to be sold to laboratories for experimentation. LDCRF, proud partner of the Humane Society of the United States, picked up the first transfer of dogs on August 5, and the rescue team is now working to meet the significant medical and care needs of the beagles.

With the same commitment to all the animals we rescue, we are working hard to provide the specialized care and never-ending love these beagles deserve. There are still many unknowns and the extent to their needs are yet to be fully determined, though we know historically in these crisis situations medical procedures such as extreme dental surgery will be a reality of the adult beagles that come in to our care.
