Mini O’Beirne Crisis Nursery, Crisis Nursery in Urbana, and Crisis Nursery of Effingham County  are collaborating with WCIA on Tuesday, December 3 for a #DayofGiving. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is a nationally recognized day that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

“All three nurseries participating in WCIA’s #DayofGiving are members of the Crisis Nursery Coalition of Illinois, which is made up of 7 total nurseries in the state. Our three organizations are unique from the others in that we stand-alone and are not under a larger umbrella agency. This makes raising funds for programs and services even more vital to our operations. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with WCIA and are grateful for the opportunity,” says Executive Director, Stephanie Record.

#DayofGiving will kick off on Tuesday, December 3 at 6:00 AM and end at 7:00 PM. Mini O'Beirne's designated drop off area is:

  •  Mini O'Beirne's Children's Holiday Store

Fairhills Mall- 1919 West Monroe, Springfield, IL

  • Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery

1011 North 7th Street, Springfield, IL

All locations will be accepting cash, card, and check. There is also a wish list of basic care items that will be accepted. Items include diapers (size 3-6), pull-ups, infant formula, individualized snacks, baby wipes, and Clorox wipes.

The best way to get involved is in your own community. If you are interested in personally giving back or would like your business or organization to host a donation drive leading up to #DayofGiving, please contact the Nursery in your area.
