The Care Group was formed in January by merging Moore Buddies Mentoring and the Moore County Literacy Council. Our newly combined group marshals public and private resources to supply free remedial education to Moore County residents of all ages.

Education has been severely disrupted by the pandemic, so the need for our principal programs has never been greater. Please watch our organization overview video to learn about the important work that we have been doing.

All of our programs rely on highly trained volunteers. We receive financial support from the United Way, the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, Smart Start and others. But all of these funders require us to demonstrate community support as well.
