At Mujeres Unidas Avanzando (MUA), our mission is to provide low-income Latinx girls and women and other immigrants with the tools and resources to empower themselves and create liberating changes in their lives, those of their families, and society at large. Many students enter our program facing significant barriers, including the lack of a high school diploma, limited English language proficiency, few marketable job skills, unstable housing, and access to health resources.

At MUA, students join a welcoming community where they are supported, encouraged to build confidence, develop new skills, and connect with others on similar journeys. Through our educational and workforce training programs, MUA creates pathways to economic stability while helping participants strengthen their families and become leaders.
