Camp MFE Benefit

by Music For Everyone

About this campaign

Join Music For Everyone and the staff of Camp MFE on July 31st for a night of amazing music. This fun concert benefits MFE's Summer Camps helping our organization to provide scholarships to the summer camp, ensuring that all who attend do so for free. In recent years Music For Everyone's summer camp has grown significantly. In 2011 we started with 15 students, now we have over two hundred registered for the two weeks of free instruction and fun. The concert on July 31st, in addition to being a wonderful opportunity to experience expertly played classical works, will help MFE offset the costs of our largest camp to date. It is also YOUR opportunity to help transform lives through the power of music by supporting the camp. .

The program for the evening will include composers who rocked the boat in the classical world, such as Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Khacharurian and Peter Schickele ( aka PDQ Bach).
MFE is thrilled to be joined by great musicians working with MFE. Michael Jamanis and his Juilliard classmate, cellist Thor S Sigurdson (both teaching at the MFE camp) will be participating. In addition Michael’s mom, pianist Frances Veri, will be joined by her husband Michael Jamanis Sr. performing with 4 hands on 1 piano. Also participating in this MFE camp benefit concert will be the incredible faculty of the MFE summer camps and our In the Schools program:

Gina Dicarlo, violin

Rick Ferrarrelli, clarinet,

Sharon Ho, piano

Frances Miller, Hang drum and violin

Tyler Walthers, trumpet

Matt Woodson, percussion
