Over the past few weeks and months, the entire world has been coming together to stand up, help out, give back, and heal. Whether it’s through donations to community organizations like ours, celebrating doctors and nurses at shift changes, or reaching out to a neighbor to help with groceries, generosity has been helping the entire world get through this global pandemic. Together.

Before COVID-19 hit, we were in the process of moving to much larger office space with more room for our busy and growing staff, volunteers, and interns to answer helpline calls, provide trainings, and hold meetings. We needed to keep up with the ever-growing need for our services. Now, our work has grown exponentially as we face one of the most serious challenges to the mental and physical health of this country. NAMI Maryland staff and volunteers have worked non-stop to meet the needs of our community and we are at the forefront of providing resources and support to everyone who’s mental health has been affected. We are working hard to respond to the exponential increase in requests for support, education, and advocacy while moving resources and programs to a virtual environment.

But we can’t do this without you. Even a small $10 donation on #GivingTuesdayNow directly supports our critical work and allows us to provide the necessary support, education, and resources that Marylanders need.
