New Canaan Community Foundation serves as New Canaan’s local partner for advice, leadership, and facilitation of charitable giving.

Our vision is a New Canaan that comes together to address both individual and local challenges, enriching the lives of all community members.

Faced with the novel coronavirus disease (known as COVID-19), and the pandemic’s impact on our community, launching New Canaan Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund allows our community to continue to come together for positive impact.

New Canaan Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund will mobilize private resources to:

-Support the emergency financial needs of New Canaan families, primarily through referrals of our partner nonprofit organizations, schools, and Town government.

-Help New Canaan nonprofits adapt to changing client needs, as well as changes in operations, or revenue loss in the short- and long-term.

-Partner with the Town of New Canaan, Chamber of Commerce, and others to respond to changing community needs, the operating environment for small businesses, and help fill gaps in public and private resources.

-Support critical services in lower Fairfield County, including organizations working in health care, emergency services, and other basic needs.

Funds will be deployed on a rolling basis, as local needs evolve.  

Gift's are encouraged online. We can currently only process credit and debit card payments; we cannot accept donations via bank account. The Foundation will not charge any administrative fee, and donors have the option to cover credit card processing fees. Checks or Donor Advised Fund contributions can be made by contacting the office.
