Styled by a Child is an innovative and engaging fundraiser for the North Dakota Women’s Network (NDWN).

During the week of May 3-7, 2021, adults will hand over all styling decisions to young people in their life. The adult will post the styles online and wear these styles everywhere for that day, even if it's just to the next video call. Teams set a fundraising goal and ask friends and family to donate for the five days of styling. We will end the week with a virtual Styled by a Child fashion show.

Styled by a Child is the brainchild of Katie Aitchison, a member of the NDWN, and Renee Stromme, founder of the NDWN. In June 2015 each mother let their 5-year-old daughters style them, head to toe, for one week. The process was fun, engaging and inspired them to turn it into an event for others to join in the fun.

Funds raised will be used for a variety of NDWN programs including:

Ready to Run, a bi-partisan program for women who want to run for office, seek higher office, work on a campaign, or get appointed to office.

WE Rise, our free hands-on advocacy training and women's lobby day that helps attendees navigate the state’s policy-making process.

Woman of the Year, our annual banquet that celebrates the work and accomplishments of one outstanding woman in our state.
