NEST (Nurturing Exceptional Students and Teachers) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit parent teacher organization led by parent volunteers and comprised of a community of parents, teachers, and staff from Sparrow Academy. Our mission is to support and enhance the educational experiences for all students of Sparrow Academy and to strive to build an equitable and inclusive community. 100% of the money we raise each year is used to cover programs and expenses that directly benefit the students of Sparrow Academy, including specialty supplies, handwork, books, festivals, plays, and field trips. Many of these items and experiences help make Sparrow a public Waldorf charter school.

Although we hold several fundraisers each year, including Harvest the Arts, the Sparrow Winter Market, Spring Festival, and the annual Jog-a-thon, most of our fundraising is through direct donations from generous Sparrow Academy families, friends, and community members.

This school year, we have set a goal of $9,000 to be raised through direct donations. If $60 was donated for every student at Sparrow Academy, we would reach this goal. We understand not every family is able to donate, but we want to give the opportunity to those who can. If you are able to donate, a suggested amount of $150 per student in your family can help offset the difference. Donations are tax deductible and can be made as a one-time or monthly payment.
