One Common Unity (OCU) invites you to join us for our 20th Anniversary Gala; an evening to celebrate two decades of our transformative work. The evening will also raise funds to support our critical work to break the cycles of violence and build compassionate, healthy communities through the power of music, arts and peace education.

Over the past 20 years, OCU has impacted 28,500+ youth and families through our positive youth development programs and trained 9,800+ teachers in our innovative approach. We’ve also hosted 81 concerts, festivals and showcases, worked in 42 schools throughout the DC region, created 5 youth musical CDs, and produced 3 documentary films. While our work has received recognition and accolades, our biggest award is unleashing the potential of underserved youth. A recent impact study of our flagship Fly By Light (FBL) program showed that 84% of our students surveyed graduated high school — a rate far higher than the average in D.C.

Our 20th Anniversary Gala will take place on October 1st, 6:30 PM at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and will feature inspiring speakers and performances, along with a curated cocktail menu.
