When Pacific Center was founded in 1973, everyday life for LGBTQ people was far different than today. Yet, today, people still walk through our doors for many of the same reasons as those who did 45 years ago: to connect with community, to find support, to live a full authentic life, to heal.

In 2018, Pacific Center for Human Growth launched the Founders Fund with a $40,000 lead gift from Red Oak Realty in honor of Art White. Art‘s passing touched many people from all walks of life, including those of us at Pacific Center. He defined what it means to be a community stakeholder and knew firsthand how our organization helped people live better lives.

This endowment, established to ensure the future of the organization and our services, is a testament to his activism. As you give to the Founders’ Fund, and that fund grows, so does Pacific Center’s capacity to continue serving Alameda County’s LGBTQ community. We have been honored to serve our community for nearly 50 years. With your support, we will continue to grow our programs, expand our services, and engage more clients for countless years to come.
