Don’t forget, many employers will match your contribution to EVCS! Just ask!

Teachers and Writers Collaborative
6-Week poetry writing residency 2nd and 3rd grade classes, with a family share and a published anthology.  $3,690

Alvin Ailey

A series designed for early childhood grades that is 5 interdisciplinary videos, 30-minutes each, that incorporate movement and storytelling which would be great for Pre-K and Kindergarten. The cost of this is $9775.

Service Learning Project
Working in partnership with classroom teachers, SLP Faculty guide students as they choose a social issue, become experts through intensive research, develop an alternative solution, and then create and implement an advocacy strategy. Every step of the process is student-driven. Every solution has a real and meaningful impact. The cost is $5000 for our 5th grade students.

MAPS
A residency program with MAPS (Music Art Puppet Sound).  All of their residencies incorporate storytelling, visual art, music, dramatic play and imagination, and tie into the social studies themes and content at each grade level. The cost for their residencies would be $10,000.

Musical Explorers
Carnegie Hall program where students learn about music and cultures from around the world, focusing on one region at a time through mini units that are like “case studies”. This program works extremely well in the remote format because the program provides a series of high quality short videos for each unit. There are also two culminating performances each year. The cost for all of the students participating in K-2 is $1,000.

Third Street Music School
We love the rock band format, but unfortunately it is impossible to do remotely because of the lag inherent in all video conferencing platforms. The one possibility is individualized instruction or very small group instruction on rock band instruments. This would require students to have access to the instruments in their homes, and would also obviously be significantly more expensive. The cost is $9,000.

Chess
Coach Stephanie Ballom  has designed an approach for bringing her program to our students in 2nd - 5th grade remotely that would include a combination of pre-recorded videos, live instruction, and use of a free chess software application called Chesskid.com.  $9,000.
