Help us make sure that all our students, regardless of their means, can continue their education online throughout the coronavirus outbreak.
The Foundation for the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns is committed to closing the digital divide by raising funds to acquire hotspots and broadband subscriptions for students who do not have internet access at home.
As little as $15 will pay for internet access for a student for the remainder of the school year. And $50 will pay for a new hotspot with internet access.
Hotspots and broadband access will be loaned to students and available for future use anytime schools must close or turn to online instruction.
Thank you very much for your support. Stay healthy and safe!
UPDATE: March 21, 2020
Since launching this campaign less than one day ago, our amazing community came together and donated $5,000 towards the purchase hotspots for TUSFD students without internet access at home. We are so grateful! These funds will immediately be used to acquire and loan hotspots to students who are currently on the waiting list.
But there is much more we can do to help as all of us endure the coronavirus crisis. After speaking today with the superintendent, the Foundation has decided to increase the fundraising goal to $10,000 to support equal access to distance learning for all our students.
This work is only possible with your support. On behalf of the students who will now be able to access their classes, we can't thank you enough!
