Petaluma People Services Center (PPSC) Mentor Me program seeks to empower young people (K-12) to reach their highest potential by matching them with a mentor. Every child receiving mentoring in our program, of whom over 85% are economically disadvantaged, has at least one environmental factor that puts him or her at-risk of school failure, substance abuse, economic dependency, and/or incarceration. In addition to mentoring, rooted in our holistic approach to student support, we also provide our young people with additional resources including group mentoring, tutoring and homework support, counseling referrals, enrichment activities, college and career counseling, food and clothing support, academic and legal intervention and advocacy.

Trained adult mentors, committed to a two-year mentorship, spend at least an hour a week with their mentees. Mentoring, at its core, guarantees young people that there is someone who cares about them, assures them they are not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges, and makes them feel like they matter. Utilizing our Mentoring for Success Model, we strive to make all children feel safe to connect with others and their community, feel empowered to grow into their highest potential and feel moved to contribute their talents to build a more positive world.

We are so appreciative of your support and for helping to ensure our mentees know they matter. Your support allows us to continue to uplift these relationships so that our youth may continue to reach their highest potential and thrive both inside and outside the classroom. We love seeing our mentees have so many opportunities and truly a village looking out for them and their well-being!

Mentor Me is a Program of Petaluma People Services Center (EIN 94-2271299). 100% of your donation is tax deductible. Thank you for your support.
