During the COVID-19 pandemic, PPSC is working tirelessly to make sure that our seniors and other at-risk community members are safe and taken care of.

  • We expanded Meals on Wheels routes to deliver more safely-prepared hot meals to seniors in need.
  • We launched the You Are Not Alone program to ensure those same seniors are getting a friendly check-in call every day to keep them from feeling too isolated during this uncertain time.
  • Counselors are working to provide online therapy sessions to patients sheltering in place, and to safely hold in-person meetings with those clients who lack access to other options.
  • Housing and youth employment staff are working to keep our clients in their homes and to help them navigate the processes for filing for unemployment, disability & medical leave.
  • Wherever it is safely possible, we are continuing to provide our other existing programs, as well, because the community need has only grown.

We feel fortunate to have such a supportive community around us, and we appreciate each and every one of you who has reached out to volunteer and find ways to support our mission. For those of you with the means to do so, please donate what you can to help us continue to expand the essential services we provide to a community in need, while we also work to keep the lights on and make sure that our hard-working staff is paid during these rocky economic times.

Thanks as always for your continued support.
